Paula Garvey has 27 years of nursing experience. She obtained her BSN in 1994, her Master’s of Nursing with a Specialization in Nursing Education in 2010, and will complete her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2021. Her clinical background is medical, surgical, and cardiac intensive care, emergency, critical care transport, and flight nursing. She is the manager of the quality and education programs for the Level 1 trauma program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, as well as auxiliary faculty at The Ohio State University College of Nursing. Her clinical and research focus is Failure to Rescue prevention, within which she has implemented a formal program that includes quality and inter-professional simulation-based education across the Level 1 trauma program.
